- Manufactured from 3.3 expansion borosilicate glass complying with ISO 3585 (ASTM E-438 Type 1 Class A)
- Popular water-jacketed condenser suitable for distillation and reflux applications
- Supplied with detachable plastic screw thread connectors which allow 9mm bore flexible tubing to be fitted easily and safely
- Note: Condenser C1/00 is fitted with glass side-arms, instead of plastic screw thread connectors, due to size limitations

The condenser is a tube with standard ground joints and a glass jacket. The cooling water is fed through the jacket in counter flow principle to increase the cooling capacity. West condensers are very similar in design to Liebig condensers with a narrower jacket.
