Product Overview
Instructions for Use: Lubricant: The lubricant may be any relatively non-volatile compound suitable for use with the reaction in hand, provided its viscosity does not exceed that of glycerol. Typical lubricants are spindle oil and liquid paraffin. Speed: The stirrer should not be run at speeds in excess of 700rpm. When lubricants of high viscosity are used, rotation should commence at approximately 100rpm and should be gradually increased to maximum speed over 10 minutes. Assembly: Attach the stirrer to the sleeve of the gland by tightening the plastic screwcap. The gland will be damaged if rotated when dry and the ground surfaces must be smeared with lubricant before assembly. Care must be taken to ensure that the ground surfaces are clean and free from dust or grit before use.
