DURAN® Vigreux Column, NS 24/29, 450 mm

with 2 standard ground joints complete with slide-on glass jacket
  • Manufactured from 3.3 expansion borosilicate glass
  • The combination of horizontal and downward angled indentations increase the cooling surface of the column
  • These Vigreux columns are supplied with an outer slide-on glass jacket
  • Tight closure due to standard ground joints
Product Overview
Vigreux columns are used in fractionational distillation to separate compounds into their component parts, or fractions, based on the differences in volatilities. The slightly downward angled indentations considerably increase the contact surface between the gas phase and the glass, i.e. the cooling surface. Vigreux columns are used for fractional distillation.
