WHEATON® µL MicroLiter® Black 9mm Cap, Blue Silicone/PP Septa for PFAS Testing
- Designed to comply with evolving PFAS regulations in; The US (EPA, USDA, CDC, FDA and ASTM) Europe (DIN, ISO, REACH, POP directive and WFD).
- Universal compatibility with all common autosamplers.
- Graduated polypropylene vials (9mm, 12x32mm, 1.5mL) Approved for LC, these vials provide robust and reliable performance across a wide range of PFAS testing applications. The 1.5mL vial includes a transparent graduation mark for easy fill-level indication.
- Specialized polypropylene vials (9mm, 12x32mm, 300μL) The 300μL vials include an integrated insert to maximize sample recovery and minimize waste during PFAS testing. They are ideal for laboratories focusing on trace-level PFAS detection and quantification.
- 9mm screw caps (black with translucent blue silicone/PP septa) These high-grade caps are bonded with platinum silicone and a polypropylene-faced liner to ensure PFAS-free results. This provides optimal sealing and compatibility with vials for PFAS analysis. Two versions are offered: 9mm cap with a pre-slit septum or with a non-slit septum.
- Convenient packaging. Each component is supplied inboxes of 100, ensuring matched quantities for routine testing procedures.

Product Overview
PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances were developed for their exceptional ability to resist heat, water, and oil, and they are well-known for applications such as non-stick cookware, waterproofing and stain resistance in carpet, fabrics and textiles, and for use in firefighting foams. Unfortunately, there are also environmental, and health risks associated with PFAS. They have been linked to various health issues such as liver damage, thyroid disease, decreased fertility, high cholesterol, obesity, hormone suppression, and cancer. These chemicals accumulate in the human body and environment over time, posing long-term health risks. Contamination in ground water has led to increased regulation and voluntary phase-out of certain PFAS compounds. Consequently, the demand for PFAS testing has expanded rapidly due to stricter regulations, heightened public awareness, and the growing need for safe drinking water and environmental concerns. DWK Life Sciences is pleased to offer the consumables (autosampler vials and closures) for PFAS testing.
